Every one of our locations has been ISO 9001 certified for many years. Our high standards for monitoring and characterizing our raw materials and products are reflected in the certificates for our chemical laboratories, which are ISO 17025 accredited.

Since 2000 we have been using the Total Quality Management (TQM) approach in all aspects of our business. This far exceeds ISO 9001 requirements and expands the range of criteria that we use to gauge the performance of our QM system.
We are closely aligned with the
Business Excellence Model from the "European Foundation for Quality Management" (EFQM). The requirements and criteria for this model are comparable to those for the American Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program.
As part of our annual strategic planning process, we undertake a comprehensive evaluation of our TQM system using EFQM’s RADAR model. Multiple facets of the company are examined and evaluated for weaknesses and areas for possible improvement. We have more than 40 internal business excellence assessors available to participate in these evaluations.
We define quality standards
We also use our own quality standards to continually develop the central aspects of our QM system.
These quality standards provide a general benchmark for the QM system used in all of our business areas and locations. They also serve as binding, global guidelines for continuing to develop our QM system, making them a key part of our QM objectives.
